Firearm Fundamentals is a great course for any shooter, though it is specifically tailored to the novice shooter. In this course, shooters will begin to learn the fundamentals of shooting. It’s not as simple as “point and click” as you might think.
Students will learn the fundamental pillars to becoming marksmen themselves. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: Trigger pull, trigger reset, grip, offhand use, body mechanics, recoil management, sight usage, and so much more!
Firearm Fundamentals is instructed regularly at BSC, and the next course dates are available below. This course begins in the classroom, and transitions to the range. There is live-firing in the class, and students should bring their own firearm(s).
Just like any proficient shooter, they all started somewhere. In BSC’s Firearm Fundamentals course, you’ll learn those same fundamentals to hit what you’re aiming at! If you’re always shooting low and left and a right handed shooter, this is the course for you!
If you’re not hitting what you’re aiming at, this is the course for you! The fundamental course is a must for new/novice shooters!
Chuck is the Buckeye Shooting Center Director of Training. With 35+ years of law enforcement experience, the wealth of knowledge he posses is second to none. Chuck holds many certifications from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission and National Rifle Association that allow him to speak to and train individuals and law enforcement officers in firearms use and tactics, less-lethal alternatives, crime
prevention, drug and violence education, as well as personal defense.
