Where it all starts!

What is First Shots?

EVERYONE! Friends, family and even yourself!

This course is designed to prepare you for taking your first shots. Whether your brand new, or not as experienced as you’d like, this is the course for you. From years 10-99, no one is too young or, too old to participate in First Shots!

In this ~3 hour course, students will begin in the classroom going over basic firearm safety and storage. Students will also begin learning the foundational components to shooting a pistol and a rifle (how to hold it, the controls, trigger management, sight management, etc.). Then students will go to the range with the instructor to shoot a 22lr rifle and a 22lr pistol.

Included in the course: Instruction, Range Time, Ammo, Target, Eye & Ear Protection!

First Shots is held in the Buckeye Shooting Center Training Academy at 4pm on Tuesday. This course is NOT available to walk-ins and preregistration is required within 24 hours of the class start time. Additionally, this class is limited to 8 students (parents/partners not shooting are FREE and don’t count towards the 8 participants). The smaller class size affords the BSC training staff the best possible training for each student!

First Shots is not for everyone. If you’re an experienced shooter, and you still want the best training offered in Ohio, please check out some of the other courses offered at Buckeye Shooting Center.

However, if you’re not comfortable with your level of experience, First Shots is HIGHLY  RECOMMENDED!

Simply put, First Shots is the foundational pillar where your firearms training should begin! If your basic fundamentals are not sound, how will you grow/progress moving forward?
